I can understand a little censorship (no porn, nothing illegal, etc.), but most parents go overboard. My best friend had her laptop taken away for five months because her mom got into her email and saw some "inappropriate" emails between her and my other friend. She even went as far as emailing the other friend. It's insane.
Kids find a way to do things behind their backs anyway. I don't see how that makes them better, safer people. I think it's stupid that parents have so little trust in their children. I never feel the need to do anything illegal or harmful, and I think it's because I don't have that extra thrill of doing it on the sneak. |
