I myself am not a designer for layouts, but i notice a pattern amongst them and would like to know why that's the choice people go with when they make one...
Browsing through the layouts for myspace(which are quite nice by the way) there is a very obvious trend with Div's... and that is to not have a link to view "friends". Myspace is a social networking site... not a shrine to ones own godliness. To not have that addition almost defeats the purpose... I'm just curious why, after people spend so much time makin such splendid profiles, they don't slip it in, or plan for it ahead of time? Does it conflict that much with the overall plan? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I just was curious. >.> <.< =] (and before "well you just don't have to chose those layouts" I'm aware of that, I just wonder why the standard is to not include the link.) |

Yeah it just doesn't seem to be a real necessity for a layout, alot of people do try to hide their friends for some odd reason in the first place so I feel when designers see so many people using the hide friends code on so many people's pages its like why bother even making some way to get to it. Its also the reason why a lot of people like to hide their comments section as well which really bothers me and im like "why?" if your going to expect a comment back and you dont want people to see then send them a dang message, comments are for the public and messages are for private, thats why they made the two different ways of contacting each other.
