I have a wider screen resolution, and I think it'll look better if the banner repeats across the page on the x-axis. It just looks a bit cut off.

Since you don't have any background images, make a slice of the banner repeatable; the black, white, or blue-ish line. Set the background to background-repeat: repeat-x;

You might not notice the difference, but for people with bigger resolution, they will. :D

And I agree with the color combination. I might sound obsessed with grey, but I think a light grey would work well in place of the peachy skin-toned color. =]

The layout, itself, doesn't look bad though.
