Alright so a while back, I came upon a few blogs with a very interesting feature, one I'd like to reproduce but I don't have the slightest idea as to how to go about it.
The title of each blog entry was not comprised of text, but rather a string of images generated from somewhere to create the new title. Each text character called and was translated into a specific image, including capital / lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Basically, the effect was used to present the titles in coordination with the layout in a font that wasn't even close to web standard. At first I thought that I just had the font installed locally and that the CSS was calling it, but then I realised that each letter was a picture. Anyone know what I'm taking about, and how to do this? I would be eternally greatfull! |
