Whenever you cob something you should do what I do: do a ctrl+j on the original layer and then make a new layer above your background layer. After you make the new layer, fill it with a bright color like a neon pink. And then get your Eraser Tool (E), select your copied layer, and start cobbing your subject. But before erasing, make sure to zoom in a lot. It make be hard at first but you'll get the hang of it.
