So I'm really running dry on the music as of late, and I thought I turn to you guys for a little music inspiration.

I listen to alternative indie stuff so please no hip-hop, rap, r&b, mainstream stuff. I kinda enjoy that obscure sound.

For sure. I listen to all sorts of different music, makes the listening experience more interesting.

Alt rock indie? I'm honestly not even sure what is considered "indie" these days.

I'll make an attempt to name some musicians.

First and foremost, you should give The Decemberists a try. They are thematic, but insanely interesting to listen to. I will not name individual songs, because they are best served with entire meal.

I've been enjoying Cat Power lately. She's sort of similar to Mazzy Star.

I LOVE Andrew Bird. I have yet to hear anything from him that I have not liked.

Earlimart had brief radio love, but it didn't last.
