I have always just gotten my external hard drive, deleted my current backup and then added a folder for videos, documents, pictures, music and so forth. I would like to do it with a program though instead. What do you suggest?

Is there a program like that, but freeware?
And i believe vista still has a backup utility but now it sucks. And it doesnt just transfer files, it saves it as some fancy thing.

I think I would like to use a program for this but I am replacing my computer so I need to put all my files on my hard drive and I think i know how to backup my mozilla firefox bookmarks.

Is there a program that would allow me to basically transfer my personal folder(joseph) to my exernal hard drive because I just want totransfer documents music video and pictures. I dont need to clone my C:/ drive.tanks.

Yeah. It's called "Click-N-Drag", and the best part is, it's free! Here's how to make it work:
  1. Mount your hard drive.
  2. Click on your My Documents folder, and drag it onto your external hard drive.
  3. There is no Step 3.

I'm going to call you out on there not being a third step. You see, during step two you gave two lines of instruction. You used a comma followed by an and, indicating a compound sentence which could be broken up into two simpler sentences, leading ME TO BELIEVE that step three was secretly included in step two.

Myth busted.
