text size not as specified :S Options

In my "navigation" div I've specified my font-size to be 20px which works out just fine and dandy until I turn the text into a link, then the font size shrinks to around 12px

I've tired specifying the font-size in a:link and div.navigation a:link but neither had any affect whatsoever.

Please help.
