I would start by updating your video card drivers.

Find out what type of video card you have:
  1. R-click MyComputer(or "Computer" in Vista) and select Manage
  2. Highlight Device Manager in the left-hand window
  3. Click the "+" beside Display Adapters in the right-hand window
  4. Record which video card you have installed on your computer (Mine is an NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M)
Go to the manufacturers website (ATI/AMD, NVIDIA, INTEL) and download the driver associated with your video card from the support section of the website and install it.
