When designing a website, d'you optimise for the teeny 800x600 or do you put the minimum width good for a 1024x760? I personally run a 1280x800, so trying to cram all my stuff into <800px is often a discouraging challenge, and I wonder if I should even bother. Most people I've talked to run at least 1024x760, and I'm wondering if it's time to stop catering to anything below that (if we can do it to IE6, can't we do it to this?!).

Thoughts? Opinions?

I havent seen you do that?
Cb is one set width, some forums expand depending on the screen size.

I usually just keep the width under 900px.

well, like I meant I don't make 1024x768 or larger layouts but I just make one simple size like 900x900 or 800x800 or something like that and just make it fit into all resolutions by fading the edges or whatever. idk how to really explain it. wacko.gif
