When designing a website, d'you optimise for the teeny 800x600 or do you put the minimum width good for a 1024x760? I personally run a 1280x800, so trying to cram all my stuff into <800px is often a discouraging challenge, and I wonder if I should even bother. Most people I've talked to run at least 1024x760, and I'm wondering if it's time to stop catering to anything below that (if we can do it to IE6, can't we do it to this?!).

Thoughts? Opinions?

Me too. The max width I do for anything is 1000.. and it has worked well so far.
