Yeah, I'm not sure the font is too hot or how you used the dotted borders. Get rid of the dotted borders and like try adding a meduim (5px) solid border but only on the left of the word and then make it switch color when it's hovered over. The blending is good too (I'm pretty sure Zachy did that) but the way you made the first letter of the headers a different, darker color isn't too good. Just switch it to white, it'll look better.
