i'm sure there is a topic like this somewhere but i can't find one that isn't really old.
what are you majoring in? a lot of people talk about school around here, but never about what they are even there for. i don't think i know what most people here are wanting to go into as a career. yeah i know this should be in the school forum, but eh. i duno. mods can move this if they are really itching to do something. |

LOL yeah accounting sounds terrible to people who don't do it. But it's actually not bad because it's more about managing and problem solving rather than trivial number-crunching, especially in the higher levels. There's definitely a stereotype associated with accounting, but my accounting prof was a Chartered Accountant before he taught and he's probably the most hilarious and sarcastic prof I've ever had! Also I don't want to work in a lab or be a doctor and have never ever wanted to be an Arts major, so really Commerce was the only thing left. And out of the options in Commerce, accounting really fits my personality the best. I've had this conversation running in my head for the past 2-3 years so I'm sure I made the right decision for myself...hopefully.
