Soon you will be able to have a username Starting on Friday, June 12th, at 9:01pm, you'll be able to choose a username for your Facebook account to easily direct friends, family, and coworkers to your profile. ^ Yeah I get what the point is, but it doesn't cut down on the time at all or make it more convenient for me. Personally I have no trouble typing in someone's name in search if I need to go to their profile. This is just a useless addition IMO.
I'm not really against it, since this would be all great if people had respectable, readable usernames, but it's the inevitability of annoying usernames that pisses me off. And what are the chances that I remember all of my friends by username? It's also the dilemma between squatting for my previous awesome username or picking something with my full name. Numbers were just easier. |
