How do I... blog?, Sounds stupid, new to wordpress |

So I added wordpress to my website using cpanel (fantastico i think it was?). Anyway... so now I have a blog, but I don't know how to blog. Like, where do I go to write in it? I'm confused as crap. Also, when I finally get to editing the blog layout, where do I go to do that? I have a wordpress folder in my files now, but there isn't anything in there that has to do with the layout.

I have another question. So I finally figured out how to get my layout on wordpress and all that, but how do I do a "read more" thing on the posts? As of right now it just shows the entire post on the homepage, which looks kinda... lame haha.
