Well, icon-ish logos are definitely not industry standard. The way to go with logos is vector based. What you should do is take the title of your website, and try to make a workmark (see here) or combination of a word mark with a symbol.
Some good examples of this can be seen here. Also, a logo should give some kind of clue what it's for. Sometimes this can be as basic as using certain colors to convey certain feelings, but looking at your logo, it could be anything from a real creeper site (fun ride? ![]() Beyond that, try to stay consistent. Once you have a logo, keep every aspect of your website consistent with your "branding" - colors, styles, themes, etc. |
