An independent artist doesn't mean they're an underground artist. Independence doesn't mean much other than liberation, freedom (specially of speech), and makin full profit. There is no contract that binds the artist to anything, like coca cola for example. Does his content meet the criteria of what is known in the underground? Nope. His content meets the criteria of the mainstream, only thing he's done is add underground artists to his music.


Underground isn't just about style... and it's not the primary criteria. Content is the primary criteria. The beauty about the underground is... is that it's never repetitive, every single individual has their own content.

With the repetitive message. Let me ask you... if I sat you down in front of a T.V. for how ever long you've been listening to music (with more than likely the same message), and I made you watch Barney (sp?) for that many years, consistently, over and over.. Would you not go out of your freakin mind? Cuz I'll tell you what, I'd blow my own head off.


Anyways, I randomly decided to listen to this song already knowing what the content was gonna be (obviously it's about sex), I'm just amazed how easy it is now a days to catch the indoctrination that goes on.
