![]() Not so many changes. According to the website the main difference is boot speeds. When I tried the 32 bit version everything worked but unfortunately the 64 bit version wouldn't let me use any visual effects. You should try it out. Does anyone know if it would break the contract of a computer to put linux on it? Also I noticed it had something new called janitor?! I mean ya it's useful but I never saw ubuntu trying to do that. ![]() |

I've got a fedora DVD that I want to install on my other computer, which has a CD drive. I'm going to get a DVD drive for it this weekend. I don't want to hassle with swapping hardware between two of my machines.
The other computer has Mandriva on it, but I don't like how bloated KDE4 is. I'm almost always running 100% CPU if I'm not doing anything other than letting the computer collect dust. I've been looking for a copy of Yggdrasil, which is probably the hardest distro to find. I don't think it's even been updated since 95, but I'm thinking it will fly on my old 1.4 GHz, 512Mb Dell from 2002. |

I messed around with Kubuntu 8.10 and KDE4 was full of glitches. It seems like a Vista clone. |
