I understand how it works, but I would never download anything unless I knew for sure that it didnt have viruses.

I saw torrent links for linux distros but didnt understand what it meant, so I tried it and its a ton faster! Can I still get a virus even though I trust the site?! Like can the connection be altered.

O and are some torrent client things faster then others? Im just using the one built into opera.

But i mean is it possible to get a virus if im downloading
A distro?

Cause I obviously trust opensuse and they want there files to be clean but is it a possibility that Ill get a virus by downloading it? And ill scan it with avg.

A distro.. or the file itself being an .ISO is nothing more but .RAR or .ZIP. So... someone could easily zip a distro or operating system and riddle it with viruses, malware, trojans, etc..

The phony Windows 7 have a file called, "WINDOWS.exe"... Ya that's a virus that will be installed as a normal update before you even log into Windows 7 for the first time.
