I understand how it works, but I would never download anything unless I knew for sure that it didnt have viruses.
I saw torrent links for linux distros but didnt understand what it meant, so I tried it and its a ton faster! Can I still get a virus even though I trust the site?! Like can the connection be altered. O and are some torrent client things faster then others? Im just using the one built into opera. |

'kay, chances are, if the company itself is giving you a link to download the torrent, then it's fine. You're essentially downloading a file so when you're done, you'll just have a file. You won't have set up a connection with the site or any nonsense like that. So no, you won't get a virus even if the site gets hacked or anything else you can imagine.
There MIGHT be a possibility that it's "hiding" but again, if you're downloading from the company itself, STOP WORRYING. You are such a girl. ![]() |
