I understand how it works, but I would never download anything unless I knew for sure that it didnt have viruses.

I saw torrent links for linux distros but didnt understand what it meant, so I tried it and its a ton faster! Can I still get a virus even though I trust the site?! Like can the connection be altered.

O and are some torrent client things faster then others? Im just using the one built into opera.

Typically what I do is if I'm not sure and it's the only source that might legitimately have what I'm looking for, I quickly back my system up, download the file and install in hopes it's the legitimate file that I've been lookin for. If it ends up being a Virus, I'll quickly unplug my external HDD's USB (better safe than sorry) then run a system restore wink.gif
