![]() As you can see, it's already OC'd by 45MHz, which I know isn't a whole lot. How high could I safely OC this bitch without damaging it too badly? |

lol... GPUs are very sensitive. You're gonna need to do a bit of research on over clocking. Not only are different computer setups gonna make a difference in how hard you can OC but also the fact that you might either have a really good, mediocre, or horrible batch. In other words, not all video cards of the same make/model are going to perform identically. So technically, no one, even with the same video card as you, can tell you exactly how hard you can push it.
To O.C. CPUs or and GPUs, it takes a lot of time, when I say a lot of time I mean days to almost two weeks, assuming you know what you're doing. Each time you push the speed of the processor (cpu/gpu) you have to run a performance test for at least 12 hours, recommended for 24 hours. It pretty much pushes your processor(s) to their limit for 24 hours straight to make sure it is stable at which ever clock speeds you're pushing. I can only recommend that you push the shader, gpu, and the memory at increments of 10. And pushing them one at a time until you're able to fine tune each and every single of them. When you fail after pushing the next 10MHz, drop it back down 10MHz and start going by increments of 2s or better yet, 1s. Like I said, you need a lot of patience and you need some background knowledge in O.C. I personally wouldn't try to O.C. unless I had the cash to quickly replace the cpu/gpu that I'm trying to O.C. And trust me when I say this, GPUs are a lot more sensitive/fragile than CPUs. |
