So my best friend is coming from Houston to visit me in NYC. We're planning to 1) go to Epik High concert :D, 2) go shopping, 3) go clubbing, 4) hang out in Manhatten every single day so obviously it's gonna be tons of fun. :D :D :D
Problem is that I move out of my college dorm the week before she comes, so we're looking for a cheap place to stay. Originally we were going to stay in NJ with my grandparents, but riding the train into the city each day is sort of annoying. We're both trying to take care of this without our parents chipping in, so finding somewhere to live is going to be a problem. There are a few hostels downtown (and a few in Flushing and Brooklyn) that I think might be affordable, but ... idk hostels just seem sort of sketchy. Idk if it's the movie making me feel weird about it, but w/e. Anyways... anybody have experience with hostels? More specifically hostels in NYC? http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g4...g_New_York.html http://www.jimsdeli.com/new-york-city-host...york-hostel.htm |

^ Nope, but dang... less than $30/night?
Turns out that my mom would rather pay for a nice hotel than have me stay at a hostel, so I'm not really looking anymore. Thank god. |
