Has anyone heard of crowdSPRING? My dad showed me the site the other day because he's all excited about the fact that I make money from designing (not sure why...maybe 'cause I can pay for my own stuff now). It's really competitive, but if you have skills I imagine you could make a lot of money. I know a lot of people here are looking to get their name out there and earn some cash, so I thought it would be useful.

I would enter more designs myself, but I don't have the time (or heart) to make things like that just to have them rejected.

Some of intimidation is a little deceiving, though. When it says there are 200 entries for something, a lot of them are duplicates. People like to submit multiple versions of the same design. If the person doesn't like it in general, a different color isn't going to help.

Yeah, and actually, I went through some of the entries, and I know for the one that had the prize of $1500, a lot of the designers didn't even read what the people wanted in their add. They said they didn't want certain things and people put them in their anyways. So I guess we can rely on people not following the directions of the projects, too, haha..

So I guess, if you're going to submit something, make sure you read the specifications of what the people want..
