Grungy Folio, thinking of new site layout Rating Options

As some of you may know, I wanted to change my site layout in about 1 or 2 months so right now, I'm just designing the next one to be prepared and all. I've come up with this and just wanted to know what you guys thought of it. I will be trying out some other layout ideas, so if this one doesn't really make the cut, then I'll just convert it to a myspace layout. Also, this is not the overall design, it's just the home page design. I'll post up other variations of the designs for the different pages some other time.

I think you should try and make it your own more rather than fallow the tutorial for that layout so exactly since it's for your site, after all.

I think that you should decrease on the dark brown color, seeing as how it creates too much contrast between the content and itself.
