hmm , college (:, graphic design? Options

so im a junior in high school & i was thinking
about going into college for graphic designing?
my cousin told me that i should and that if im
really good at it stores will hire me to design
clothes for them and i would make a good profit
for it? i dont know.

so i'm wondering, should i go into graphic designing?
what do you do when you take grapic designing? like

^ =/= is a "not equal" sign, so he's saying that graphic design is not equal to fashion design. Graphic design, however, is probably more related with T-shirt graphic design and not the garment itself, which is what I think you were trying to get at in the original post.

You don't need to go to college for graphic design to be successful in that area, necessarily. The most important things you can have as a graphic designer are work experience and a stellar portfolio. You don't really need formal education for graphic design if you have the will to learn it yourself.
