People always talk about having a gaming computer but I never got what they meant. Isnt that what a xbox or playstation is for? Or are there just certain games that they play on the computer. What are some good ones and how much do they cost?

A gaming computer is pretty much an expensive performance computer. By performance I mean 3GB+ of RAM (1066MHz+), a good Dual core or Quad core processor (3.0GHz+), and preferably a SLI (nvidia) or Crossfire (ati) setup. A hardcore PC gamer would hack/strip their Windows from everything that could slow it down and take away the benefits of hardcore gaming. Above that, a hardcore PC gamer would go all out by purchasing 3-4 20"+ monitors |
