my friends and i have a site on myspace and i want to put some div/overlay layouts up for others to use. i usually just post the codes in scrollboxes. but you know the generic navigation codes where users need to switch the XXXXXX to their friend id? in a scrollbox, myspace switches these codes to those "msplinks" or whatever. is there a way around this? if not, where can i put these codes for others to use them? they're good layouts, but there's always something wrong with them so they aren't up on createblog. any help is greatly appreciated. : )

there's also the option of placing them within a div element. when posting your codes, any HTML tags will have to be changed, using < and > like this:
CODE <div></div> instead of putting them in a textarea, put them in a div element. that way, "<" will be read by browsers as "<" and ">" as ">" but the actual HTML won't be displayed. it would look something like this: CODE <div style="width:200px; height:100px; overflow-y:auto;"> <style> body { } .div { } </style> <div class="div"> <a href="link">LINK</a> </div> </div> it's a lot of work if you have a lot of HTML tags, but if you have a text editor that can change a certain string of characters all at once, it's easy. just search for "<" and replace it with "<" and search for ">" and replace it with ">". i'm sure there are also sites out there that will do it for you. |
