Making computer run faster |

So, I came to the conclusion that my computer takes eons to load up. Is there anything I can do to make my computer run faster? I usually have about 3 - 4 processes running at the same time (firefox, photoshop, a music player (itunes, zune, windows media) and maybe word), and sometimes my computer freezes, but the internet is fast and I dont have any viruses, so what would some of you techies recommend?

Which is definitely in everyone's budget. It's not like we're in an economic crisis or anything.
