Does anyone remember those word riddles where you have to figure the phrase by how the word is written? What exactly are they called?

Not really. An anagram is a word/phrase where the letters are rearranged to form another word/phrase. While some of these word riddles are kind of like that, not all of them are.
I'm sure there is another name for these word riddles though. =\ |
