Let's see: warrantless wiretapping, presidential signing statements, suspension of the writ of habeus corpous in a couple cases, torturing detainess in violation of international treaties of which the US is a signatory, military units before law enforcement duties, a war of dubious legality... Kind of sounds like fascism. In fact, Bush's Justice Dept. all but admitted so. Now I'm not trying to argue that "two wrongs make a right", but I don't think Obama is moving in any sort of fascist direction. Now, if by "fascist" you really meant "socialist", then I'd point out that "fascism" and "socialism" are completely different. But I digress. |
