ugh facebook is losing it's fans ): Another interweb paradigm shift. The most painful was the decline of Xanga and the rise of MySpace. I'm not 100% convinced that the two were connected, but at the time, it seemed like those I knew that were Xanganites, moved onto MySpace. I have a MySpace, but it ultimately was/is a means to an end as far as the e-conjunction function goes. It took me a long while to warm up to Facebook because (and this will seem silly) it seemed so trendy. I can't think of a better word for it. At one point though, it was easier, more simple and more people my age (including family members) were using it so I've been Facebooking ever since. Regardless, it's less of a nuisance than MySpace, in my opinion, so folks will remain. |
