It had the best intro to any television show Ive ever seen. It is definitely in my top five favorite television shows behind X-Files and Home Movies and above Family Guy and The Venture Brothers. I like cartoons, especially AMERICAN ANIMATION. What the hell happened to real animation, sure it wasnt the best but dammit it was ours. I do not like Anime. I love the lion king and Aladdin, their two of the best animated movies Ive ever seen. Goddamn you Pokemon, you ruined my favorite tv shows. Does anyone remember the greats like:
Bobby's World Gargoyles Freakazoid Animaniacs LOONEY TUNES!!!!!! You know what, f*ck the Venture Brothers, LOONEY TUNES ALL THE WAY!!!!!! Greatest cartoons in history. Thats another victim of goddamn anime, they recently came out with the now canceled "Loonatics Unleashed," it was terrible!!! Damn you pokemon!!! Rugrats Life with Louie DUCKTALES!!! Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers Tailspin Hey Arnold! (Got me into Jazz music) DOUG!!! I dont know whats happened to the world where greats like these are no longer available for kids to see, instead they're subjected to creepy jailbait shows like Zoey 101, Hannah Montana, iCarli, and just plain shit like Chowder and Camp Lazlo. Some notable exceptions would be Ben 10(its okay...), Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, and I think thats it. Can you remember any others that I might have missed? Can you remember how great life was when these were the shows to watch? God, I hate the present. The 90's were the shit. |

Although this is titled Batman Beyond, its really a topic about old cartoons and how great they were. There is nothing current that compares.
This is possibly the best single cartoon piece ever made (in my opinion). It was nominated for an academy award in 1953. From A to Zzzz... |

Although this is titled Batman Beyond, its really a topic about old cartoons and how great they were. There is nothing current that compares. Ai, which is why I brought up Bruce Timm. I could list them out, but I figured if people were Bruce Timm fans, they'd know. Here you go - Batman, The Animated Series. It brought back good storytelling, incredible writing and voice acting and is overall one of the best series of the 90's. Superman, The Animated Series. Not quite as good as Batman, TAS, but it's up there for the same reasons. It was just lighter as compared to Batman, TAS, which has a more noir feel to it. and Batman Beyond, which has already been mentioned. Those are classic Timm series. Years later came Justice League and Justice League Unlimited (which is basically Justice League with a larger cast). JL and JLU were very fun and overall had the same good writing and voice acting as earlier Timm series. It catered to a younger audience in the end, and I think that the quality suffered a bit because of that. The Animaniacs is to this day, one of the most intelligently written cartoons I've seen. It was fun enough for children and had enough wit to entertain adults as well. I could really type for days on the subject. |
