saw this about a month ago; it's pretty good. definitely way f*cking better than slumdog. uhm, not as good as gus van sant's last entry "paranoid park."
sean penn is really good. unfortunately james franco isn't ever really given the opportunity to shine, rendering his role sort of mute. the story is very interesting, but the film is largely conventional & long. not worth a second viewing, but a story definitely worth being heard. |
