I'm beginning to love baking more than I love cooking. Cooking is kind of like art, you can do a lot of stuff to it but there's a chance that you won't mess it up. Baking is completely different. I love how disparate ingredients come together to make something completely new. It's so precise, like science.

I like finding ways to make recipes healthier, so I usually tweak them to my liking. My family are my guinea pigs. When I make pies that aren't sweet (pumpkin pie) I like using a nut crust rather than a regular pastry crust... I think the flavors work better together.
