A Jr. High School is making headlines about giving birth control to it's students (article is here)What is your stance on providing Jr. High students with condoms and birth control? Should it only be the parents responsibility?

yeah i just don't think there's much way around kids at some point being around bad influences. i'm more in favor for preparing them for that than trying to stop the inevitable. i think my kids will make the right choices if i raise them right.
but i would agree that a lot of parents today don't seem to give a shit. which is on topic with this thread because i would say that teaching abstinence only and not telling teenagers about birth control falls under not giving a shit. any sane and caring parent who gave a shit would educate their kid about sex in today's world. lots of them are just setting themselves up for what happens becuase they won't do their job already. |
