Should i just get over him? Options

I asked this question before in the past about this guy that i've liked but here's a little detail i forgot to add in, okay well just in case some of you don't know my situation, there's this guy who i liked since last year May and before i liked him, he would stare at me all the time and then i eventually started to like him and i finally told him on msn that i liked him and at first he didn't believe me then he told me he had a gf. but after that, he would still stare at me and he started to act fidgety whenever i would pass by him.he even talked to me on msn after the incident i asked some ppl that knows him if he has a gf and they said they highly doubt that. okay i'm not being racist or anything but he's indian and i'm black and i heard they can't date out of their race or religion so i was wondering if that's why he said he had a g.f, or maybe he just panicked? didn't take me seriously? what do you guys think? should i just get over him?

If it's been eight months and he still hasn't given you a straight answer since your confession, then you probably should get over him. He shouldn't keep you waiting around like this, unless you don't talk anymore and he thinks you've gotten over him.

well we weren't friends or anything before, we were just classmates, so we never really had a relationship, we just spoke a few times on msn...thing is i just don't think he thinks that i really like him cuz he never took me seriously and after that i never really acted like i liked him because i didn't want to look like a hung up fool since he told me that he had a girlfriend..

Then you probably should have gotten to know him better before telling him that you liked him. I would never tell a guy how I felt about him until we had established a friendship.

i know i wanted to become friends with him but i just didn't know how to start a convo with him, i mean he would probably think I'm weird if all of sudden i just came out of the blue and just started talking to him
