Free The Children
Eligibility: pretty much anyone, but it's primarily for kids to help other kids Goal: "to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to affect positive change in the world." Locations: Canada, the United States, Japan, China, Mexico, Kenya, Sri Lanka, etc. Website: www.freethechildren.com Seriously, it's a fantastic cause. I had the privilege to hear the founder (Craig Kielburger) speak last year, and he is a truly an inspiration. |
