Studies show, if running late for class, only 10% of cBers would stop to give any aid to Sandy if they saw her bumming on the streets If asked, 32% of cBers would say this is the same size as this if JC, Brandon, and Carrie all told you they were. Ever been harassed by a mod who acted like a major douchebag, warning and banning you for no reason? Science says that if the roles were reversed, you'd likely act the same way. Studies show that 8 out of 10 cBers would torture the shit out of a puppy if Steven asked them to. wat |

People are not "inconsiderate" or "selfish", because if you were in that situation, you would probably do the same. You can deny it all you want, but the evidence shows it. People fail to act when they are in a large group. For example, when someone is walking down a crowded street and they see a woman being sexually harassed by some thug (CRACK A JOKE AND DIE), they usually will do nothing. They have the mentality that someone else will take care of it. Ironically, we are more inclined to do something when we are absolutely alone.

So that, combined with free time, you were much more likely to help somebody. Y'all need to read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. |

This entire thing is basically the same thing as "depends on the person" |
