As President Obama comes into office, one of the first executive orders he made was the shut down of Guantanamo Bay (terrorist Prison). Im torn between thinking what is right. If you think about the factor about America's image, we dont want to be seen as a torturing country, where on the other side (the Republicans) argues with criticism that the terrorist should be kept there and if Guantanamo is closed, where would they go?
What are your opinions ? |

My issue with Guantanmo Bay isn't that the prison exists or that the detainees haven't been tried and charged; but that the suspected affiliation is enough for a human being to be detained, mistreated and caged up for years.
Side note: before I start on my google frenzy, can anyone give me a quick Siberia rundown and how it relates to Gitmo (if at all)? |
