I'm talking about what you see on the outside. The paint. The fence. The yard. The porch. All of that shit.
What makes a house look good? What makes a house look bad? Why do some houses look boring and why do others look great? Why are trailer parks so frowned upon? Personally, I think Painted Ladies are where it's at, personally. Those Victorian-era folks knew how to do it right. |

LOL omg there are SO MANY of those!! My grandparents used to live in one
![]() There's this really ugly new house in my neighbourhood... you can tell whoever designed it tried really hard to make it look sophisticated. It's in a tan colour and has two (? or four) blindingly white columns at the front. And in the front yard is this equally white cheap-looking fountain that looks like a toy. It's just... so bad. I don't know how to describe it properly. |
