sooooooooo my mom told me that I spent $568 this year on back to all of my school shopping (jeans, tops, socks, underwear, backpack, etc) . YES i realize that's half of $1000 & i just got slapped by reality that i need to seriously cut back on my shopping =T
is anyone else on cB a shopaholic? if not, how do you guys NOT spend? for lent i gave up shopping & that worked, but only because i barely went to the mall... i'm gonna start to not bring my card anymore... hopefully that works. edit: by card i mean debit card.. but thats still the same thing in terms of SPENDING lol. i just don't bring it with me anymore... alllll cash now. |

It's like half self-control and the other half is budgeting.
If you have a checking, savings, and direct deposit then you would do an allotment. An allotment in our case is an automatic deduction from your paycheck into another account. So if your paycheck goes to your checking, you can set up an allotment to automatically deduct say $50.00 into your savings making it painless to save money. Budgeting is when you layout your remaining paycheck for what you need such as groceries, bills, etc. Make a list and commit to it |
