So i straighten my hair a lot and its also kinda thin and i notice that it seems to get a bunch of split ends pretty quickly even after i get a trim. So is there a good hair shampoo or some kind of heat protector that i can use to decrease the amount of splits?

Yeah, I have, actually. The smell is disgusting but it does work. Olive oil isn't nearly as olfactorily offensive as mayo.
