I dont think ill of black people. It doesnt phase me one bit that he is black. But I did know by saying that that I would be called names like redneck and racist. I dont think Im making a rash judgement at all. Obama had so many advantages going into this campaign.. the money given to him by liberals and celebrities, the youth movement, his color, the mass media being on his side. Im not un-informed and I dont live under a rock and the fact is that a large group of African Americans voted for this guy because of his color and chose to completely overlook the fact that he is a liar, a flip-flopper on issues, has hardly any experience and his shady relationships. But I was only saying how it would be fascinating to see how it would play out if he ran against another black man. You all think I am un-informed because the majority of people on these forums have opposing views to me. Im not racist and when I make comments like that I shouldnt have to explain that Im not. You all need to get a little more informed and stop jumping on me for making harmless comments.

That alone should be enough to disqualify you from any more intelligent political debates. Obama might not have been the most experienced candidate out of the two but the people voted for him. And you need to get off your "I'm effing informed damnit" soapbox when you obviously don't even bother to read cnn.com 1) Those shady relationships you speak off. McCain's supporters very vocally used a picture of Obama with a Washington lobbyist that was a huge player in the Freddie/Frannie Mae fiasco. They said that despite Obama's promise to help America with the current financial crisis, he obviously takes direction from the people who are responsible for it. The lobbyist himself issued a statement. He met Obama ONCE for a few minutes which was when the photo was taken. He then turned around and cited several photos that showed McCain with a few of his advisers/friends. He noted that those people were the ones that he used to report to. Maybe his pastor isn't the best role model for Obama. But, despite what the pastor has to say about political/civil issues, Obama attended church to hear about God. Everyone has friends who has flaws and some people chose to continue friendships despite those flaws. I mean, Mccain apparently still think highly of Palin. 2) Obama might change his opinions on issues but I rather have him try to change his agenda according to what new things he learns instead of steadfastly sticking to his original views. Even in the midst of massive Republican failure, Mccain's campaign and his own party keep promising that they will stick to true Republican ideals, even though most of the American people disagree with that course of action. 3) Even if someone voted for Obama because of his race, is that exactly wrong? People, especially from YOUR crowd, vote based on religion. So which is the lesser evil? I think it would be interesting if Obama ran against Palin. Let's see if she can humiliate herself some more. |
