lost in a layout, I am not understanding this code.. Options

I went to this site here
to learn how to make a myspace
layout.and I got my picure as my background but I dont
know how to get the white area to go away.I tried the code to remove the white area's on myspace but I think I have to change something on that code.please help..

The code to get rid of te white in the middle is:

And you replace your image url here with the image.
