Do you take advantage?, Roar... Options

So my friends and I are having this huge debate, it all started with :

BFF: ok one question
BFF: but its
BFF: rhetorical
me: mm?
BFF: WHY DONT GUYS EVER APPRECIATE ANYTHING
me: i wish i knew.

So I posted it on my MySpace blog, and we started having a debate.

Guys seem to think it's the girls, where as it's reversed for us...

One of my friends wants numbers on this, so I figured one of the best places to go about this would be cB because a lot of us are opened minded... (okay some, not all.) and I figured they would give honest answers since they don't know my friends or me.

Question being : Which gender appreciates things less? Do you think Girls take advantage of guys more often, or guys take advantage of girls?

I'm biased considering my past, I would prefer non-biased opinions ^_^

@NoSex, it wasn't even about me, it was about my friends boyfriend =P
He doesn't really appreciate what he has, he's even cheated on her, either way, you took it the wrong way and the "grow up" thing was unnecessary. Yeah, I get what you're saying with the "dependency, insecurity, possession, and obsession" but Hi, that's taking advantage of your SO's trust in general. Think about it, would you want your SO going around flirting with people that they've wanted to be with in the past and then playin' you like a fool?

@fad3d I agree ^ They appreciate when they actually notice that there is something to appreciate.. Which depending on the guy, isn't very often..


Some of you got the question, some of you took it way out of hand xD
But I'm amused to actually get as many replies as I did..
I know that both are known to "use" "take advantage of" etc, we just wanted a open-minded opinion from people other than us
