So i straighten my hair a lot and its also kinda thin and i notice that it seems to get a bunch of split ends pretty quickly even after i get a trim. So is there a good hair shampoo or some kind of heat protector that i can use to decrease the amount of splits?

The best thing that I have tried lately is using hot oil treatments. It smooths the hair down and generally makes it softer, more manageable, and I guess shinier. My hair is slightly wavy (even though I am Chinese), and thus can get frizzy. Some directions say to use it after shampooing; if it makes your hair oilier, I guess try it before washing your hair (I tried this, and it worked fine).
edit: and yeah. I just realized that someone already mentioned hot oil. =P I guess my only other tip is to make sure the water you heat the hot oil container in is warm/hot enough. |
