I was watching a show and they had a quote from American journal of psychiatry that girls who suffer from anxiety are twice as likely to develope and eating disorder as adults?

Is that really true? It seems a bit far fetched to me.

It would make sense. Anxiety usually stems from an individuals inability to control their environment to their liking or having to face the what is/unknowns.

A big part of eating disorders is the ability to take control above and beyond to the point where survival necessities can be ignored.
