so i'm just sitting here minding my own business, entering a contest, and i go to check my mail and BAM! i got a real request to design a div overlay for some organization's website.
i have no idea what to do. this is a good opportunity for me, and my first design for anybody else. what do i ask first? what are some questions i should ask? how can i be professional without being too uptight? i'm so freaking out right now. ![]() |

Ask for their ideas. Find out what they want first. If they are vague in answering what exactly they want, ask questions. Colors, font selections, alignment, size, etc etc. If they are not sure exactly, try and find examples if possible illustrating different things you can do and what is possible.
