Subliminal is a hardworking dedicated rapper and was born and raised in Queens, New York. To escape bad conditions in the city his parents moved him out to Long Island, New York where a few years later he would begin his rap career. Subliminal started writing music at the age of 13 and began to record here and there with a basic microphone. Through certain connections he began to hook up with some producers and other artists and catch a buzz. While catching a buzz solo, he was also the founder, leader, and main producer of music for his own group project called the “Renegeadz”. The group had its problems with all of the members releasing music, but due to over 50 songs, in a couple months, released by Subliminal himself, the group remained on top. As altercations and tensions grew within the group, Subliminal decided it was time to go his separate way, although for weeks he was given many offers to stay. Already having a solo buzz, and being known for being the best artist from his group he knew it was time to take things a little serious. What was once a hobby was now taking off as he grabbed up some studio equipment, and spent a couple months learning to produce, mix, and master his own music under the mentorship of an ABM ENT/Pista Con Flow Inc. artist known as “Legacy The Don”. “Legacy The Don” [A well-known artist from Harlem] produced and mixed Subliminal’s music for a short time while teaching him the skills needed to mix his own tracks. At this time music was flying out from Subliminal doing as many as 4 tracks a week, still trying to manage school and other priorities. Although numerous tracks were made few were released, so to fulfill his fans need for something new Subliminal released a demo CD entitled “The Chapters”. This 8-track demo gave Subliminal a wider fan base as the CD was sold not only in his school, but on the streets as well. As success was building so was the hating, as numerous artists would take shots at Subliminal knowing they would gain attention dissing a rapper of his status. Although not a battle rapper, Subliminal responded to almost every attack with intellectual punch lines, rhyme schemes, and incredible wordplay. While opponents tried to deter his success by releasing diss tracks, they only upped his status, as Subliminal has yet to lose a battle. As the battles brought attention, Subliminal had been noticed by, and in contact with, many members of the infamous “Hot Boyz” group. In late 2005, Subliminal was introduced to the “Hot Boyz” family as an artist after running with their street team for a couple of months. In Late 2006, Subliminal took a little bit of a hiatus in order to deal with other priorities in his life but has recently picked things back up in the summer of 2007. Hooking up with a well-known underground artist named “rSINik”, now known as "RSK", Subliminal is now currently signed under his label rSINik Records. He was set to release his first EP under this label entitled, “Rsinik Records Presents: Subliminal: "The Mid-Chapter”. This highly anticipated CD was due in September '07 but was never released. Shortly after this Subliminal and Rsinik became co-owners of their own record label called "Death Entertainment". They signed a total of 3 other rappers, 1 RnB singer, and 1 producer. In late '07 Death Entertainment took off and Subliminal has released multiple mixtapes and Ep's with this label. Having done numerous tracks with up and coming artists he also has participated in tracks with well-known underground artist such as “Hard Target” [1/2 of the group Black Ops], “Infinite Skillz” [1/2 of the group Base Inc.], “Cryptic Wisdom”, etc. The future looks bright for him and we can only anticipate more success, and expect more “real hip hop” that Subliminal is known for.
